Rural Luxury: A Spa-Inspired 4-Piece Bathroom Retreat in Carp

This project is a strong example of what goes into a custom Ottawa bathroom renovation. Great design matters, but so does the work behind the walls. From layout planning to plumbing changes and finish selections, every step had to come together with care.

Making the Layout Work

The original bathroom did not support the open and relaxing layout the homeowners had in mind. To make room for a freestanding tub, larger shower, and double vanity, our team had to complete major plumbing relocation.

This type of work takes planning and skill. Drain lines and supply lines had to be moved to fit the new design without compromising function. Our licensed trades reworked the space so the new layout felt open, practical, and balanced. What started as a standard bathroom became a spacious 4-piece suite with a high-end feel.

If you are planning a full reconfiguration like this, our bathroom addition and custom renovation services are built for projects where layout changes are part of the vision.

Luxury Features That Changed the Space

Every finish in this bathroom was selected to create a clean, polished look with a warm and restful tone.

Freestanding soaker tub
The tub became the visual centre of the room. Its sculptural shape gave the bathroom a calm and refined feel. We paired it with a floor-mounted gold filler to add contrast and bring in a touch of luxury.

Custom walk-in shower
The new shower was designed for comfort and impact. It features a seamless glass enclosure, a built-in bench, premium tile, and a recessed niche. The shower also includes spa-style features such as lighting, jets, speakers, and a rain showerhead. For homeowners thinking about replacing an outdated tub, our tub to shower conversion service is another strong option.

Double vanity with gold accents
We installed a custom double vanity with a rich wood-grain finish and a crisp white countertop. Brushed gold faucets and matching hardware helped tie the room together and added warmth against the softer wall and tile tones.

Layered lighting
Lighting played a big role in how the room feels. We combined vanity lighting, a chandelier, and dimmable pot lights so the homeowners could shift the mood from bright and functional in the morning to soft and quiet in the evening.
